Hyundai Capital Services UK Ltd (HCUK) is a joint venture company established by Santander Consumer UK and Hyundai Capital Services Korea in 2012. It operates under the Hyundai Finance and Kia Motors Finance brands, providing funding solutions for both Retailers and Consumers.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Finance Director and based at the HCUK head office in Reigate, this is a high profile commercial finance role, supporting both development and execution of the business pricing policy, with analysis and review of profitability and reporting.

Key Accountabilities

1. Management of New Dealer Package

(i) Continuously revisit dealer commission structure and package to ensure compliance and competitiveness

(ii) Manage impact of any change on ROA and value proposition

2. Portfolio analysis

(i) Analyse new origination and portfolio balance not only overall level but by dealer level to find business implication

(ii) Report to SMT about major finding in such analysis to lead better pricing and value proposition

3. Product Management

(i) Take key finance role in cross-functional projects, supporting the marketing function in new product development and launch / dealer facing initiatives.

(ii) Financial modelling for new product development, tactical campaigns and initiatives, and business development opportunities.

4. Price Analysis

Timely and accurate provisions of pricing information to ensure profitable products and tactical initiatives are created and maintained, and update pricing model to support pricing analysis.

5. Business Advice

(i) Liaise closely with Hyundai Finance and Kia Motors Finance sales units, providing financial challenge and expertise in review of all new business proposals.

(ii) Working with the marketing and sales function to ensure that new business strategies are consistent with business strategy.

(iii) Working with Compliance to ensure all the pricing structure is in line with TCF, other principles under FCA, and any other regulatory guidelines.

6. Pricing Model Management

(i) Manage Pricing Models ensuring these are dynamic and that all key assumptions, changes to legislation and levers are measurable.

(ii) Develop business MIS to meet business reporting needs on monthly and quarterly KPI’s. Utilisation of MIS to ensure robustness of pricing

7. Reviewing & Monitoring

(i) Close responsibility for income and commission accruals.

(ii) Identify process improvements.

8. Price Control

(i) Review marketing and product profitability, seeking out opportunities for price improvement.

(ii) Pro-active identification of pricing opportunities and follow up.

(iii) Clear and concise communication of pricing related issues throughout all levels of the business.

9. Others

(i) Working and interacting with SMT, FP&A, Controllership, Risk teams within the business.

(ii) Carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably expected of the role.

(iii) Continuously working on the new FCA regime based on the commission structure ensuring the dealer package is in line with all the principles under FCA by working closely with SMT and Compliance

Required Experience

Given the scope of this position it is essential that the job holder has the following skills and experience:


  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA)
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Excellent analytical and spreadsheet modelling skills
  • Ability to communicate and challenge effectively at all levels, including top management
  • Independent; ability to operate effectively with minimal guidance
  • Well organised, goal orientated, able to meet deadlines and able to prioritise and delegate work
  • Ability to work under pressure often dealing with several issues simultaneously
  • Ability to grasp complex ideas quickly and effectively
  • Proven team player
  • Strong communication skills, with clear verbal communicate
  • Good understanding about auto financing business and regulation by FCA


  • Has the relevant BA degree (relevant majors: Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, and etc.)
  • Professional accountancy related qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA)

Other Information

  • The position may require international as well as domestic travel from time to time

Remuneration Package

  • Expected salary range of £33,000 - £40,000, plus quarterly performance based bonus
